Patricia Pritchett has been selected to serve in the dual role of University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Health System senior vice president of ambulatory services, reporting to UAB Health System Chief Operating Officer Reid Jones, and as University of Alabama Health Services Foundation (UAHSF) executive vice president, reporting to UAHSF President James Bonner, M.D.
In this role, effective July 1, 2013, Pritchett plays an integral role in efforts underway to optimally align UAHSF and UAB Health System operations.
“We strive to align the Health Services Foundation and the UAB Health System to ensure we are focused on providing the highest quality patient care in an environment that assures our patients and their families feel they made the very best decision regarding where they receive health care,” Jones said. “We are thrilled that Patricia has accepted this dual role that will be vital in enhancing our operations.”
Pritchett has served the UAHSF as general counsel and corporate secretary for approximately 20 years.
“In her capacity with UAHSF, Patricia has been involved in all facets of our operation,” Bonner said. “She has always exhibited a superior work ethic, high standards of professionalism and great loyalty to the mission of UAB Medicine.”
A native of Tuscaloosa, Pritchett was a nurse before she came to Birmingham in 1987 to attend Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.
