The UAB Primary Care Clinic is celebrating Eric Carle's classic children's book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" with readings, book giveaways and activities for children 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in the clinic lobby, 1600 4th Avenue South.
The clinic hopes to encourage family reading, which improves children's verbal language skills and helps prepare them for school, and healthy eating habits. The event is supported by Reach Out and Read. For more information, contact Amanda Soong, asoong@peds.uab.edu.
