Dan Marson, Ph.D., J.D., professor of neurology and director of UAB’s Division of Neuropsychology, is the 2012 president-elect for the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
NAN works to advance neuropsychology as a science and health profession, to promote human welfare and generate and disseminate knowledge of brain-behavior relationships.
Marson’s clinical and research focus is geriatric neuropsychology, primarily treating and studying patients with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and frontotemporal dementia. He also directs the UAB Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
