Each month, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of English hosts a book discussion titled BookTalk. Led by an English instructor or professor, the meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month from 6-7 p.m. in the Henley Room on the 2nd floor of the Mervyn Sterne Library, 917 13th Street S. The events are free and open to the public:
