Henry Markram, Ph.D., a full professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, will present the “Human Brain Project” in a special seminar 10-11 a.m. on April 12, 2013, in the Edge of Chaos atrium.
Markram, who founded and coordinates the Blue Brain Project at the EPFL, also coordinates and co-directs the Human Brain Project, a 1 billion euro project to systematically reconstruct and eventually simulate the human brain.
Markram’s seminar is sponsored by the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health and the UAB Nutrition Obesity Research Center.
