UAB invites scholars to discuss EU relations

UAB will host a workshop on European Union relations.

EU_conference_storyNoted scholars from around the globe will converge for a workshop on issues related to the European Union at the University of Alabama at Birmingham March 9-10, 2012. The free, public event is presented by UAB Department of Government and will be in Heritage Hall, 401 University Blvd.

The conference itinerary is as follows:

Friday, March 9

  • “Ambiguity, Multiple Streams, and EU Policy,” 3:35-4:45 p.m., Room 421
  • “Twenty Years of Multi-level Governance: What Stretch is Left in a Two-dimensional Concept?” 4:50-5:50 p.m., Room 421

    Saturday, March 10

    • “A Normative Power Europe Framework of Transnational Policy Formation,” 9-10 a.m., Room 421
    • “Punctuated Equilibrium Theory and the European Union,” 10:05-11:05 a.m., Room 421
