The University of Alabama at Birmingham will host its 2023 in-person and virtual Service Learning and Undergraduate Research Expo from Monday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Dec. 1.
The expo seeks to highlight and celebrate excellence in research, creative activity and scholarship by showcasing the academic ventures of undergraduate students.
Students who participate in the expo find a unique opportunity to present research findings, receive feedback, and exchange experiences and ideas among peers and faculty.
Expo dates and events include:
- 13: Abstracts are due. Please review abstract guidelines here.
- 28: In-Person Oral Presentations
- Location: Sterne Library (8 a.m.-12 p.m.)
- 29: In-Person Poster Presentations
- Location: Alumni House
- 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Session A
- 12:30-1:30 p.m.: Keynote Speaker
- 1:30-3:30 p.m.: Session B
Mary-Ann Bodine Al-Sharif, Ph.D., assistant professor of higher education in the UAB School of Education, will be the keynote speaker.
