Undergraduate students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham will present research April 20-24 at the 2026 Spring Expo.The University of Alabama at Birmingham will host its spring 2026 Service Learning and Undergraduate Research Expo April 20-24.
The expo takes place every semester and is an opportunity for undergraduate students to showcase and celebrate their research. Through this opportunity, students will also receive feedback and discuss research with fellow undergraduates and faculty.
Unlike other semesters, the spring provides a unique opportunity for students to showcase their research, the Video Research Awards. The Video Research Awards allow students to explain their research within a two-minute video. The first round of voting is completed by the community, and then a panel selects the top three students. The first-place presentation receives a prize of $1,000, and second and third place receive a prize of $500 each.
The in-person expo is open to the public and free to attend.
