Join experts from across the University of Alabama at Birmingham for a deep dive into the ongoing Ukraine calamity on Thursday, March 3, at 4 p.m.
“The Ukraine Crisis: Implications for Geopolitics and Human Rights” is a virtual event and will include Robert Blanton, Ph.D., chair of the UAB Department of Political Science and Public Administration, who will moderate a panel discussion by Renato Corbetta, Ph.D., director of the International Studies program; George Liber, Ph.D., retired professor in the Department of History; Peter Verbeek, Ph.D., director of the Anthropology of Peace and Human Rights program; Scotty Colson, honorary consul for Ukraine to Alabama; and Tina Kempin Reuter, Ph.D., director of the Institute for Human Rights.
The panel will be broadcast virtually, and the event is open to the public. Registration is free but required.
