There are approximately 6.75 million car accidents per year in the United States, according to the U.S. Bureau of Transportation. Knowing how to properly restrain one’s child in the car can mean the difference between a minor bump and a major injury.
The University of Alabama at Birmingham Maternal and Child Health Student Association will host the Importance of Car Seat and Booster Seat Safety seminar Thursday, Jan. 27, from 5-6 p.m. The virtual seminar is open to the public and will explore the differences between child restraints for different weights and ages and how to properly install child safety seats.
The free seminar will take place via Zoom. To register, click here.
