Mermaid Theatre’s elegant new show will include an original stage adaptation of Marcus Pfister’s sparkling story that became an international publishing phenomenon, as well as two of the author’s companion tales, “Rainbow Fish Discovers the Deep Sea” and “Rainbow Fish Opposites.” Families who loved last season’s performance of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” will certainly want to catch this season’s show.
