With school out, the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Alys Stephens Center is celebrating with a one-day camp at ArtPlay on Monday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
“We always have inquiries from working parents about opportunities that ArtPlay offers when children are out of school,” said ArtPlay’s associate director, Heath Mixon. “We listened and are happy to offer this wonderful visual arts day camp that will provide a plethora of fun activities.”
The fun-filled day camp will consist of four separate projects taught by some of ArtPlay’s favorite teaching artists. Each student will have the opportunity to complete and feature their work in a mini-gallery at the end of the day.
Students will also be able to take home their special day’s arts and crafts.
