The UAB Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology provides comprehensive clinical care for the treatment of patients with arthritis and related diseases.
We offer both inpatient services at UAB Hospital and outpatient clinics at The Kirklin Clinic and UAB Whitaker Clinic. We train future rheumatologists and immunologists and provide them with the most advanced knowledge and skills for treating rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis, including pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and current diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. With both industry and federally funded research, we are active in basic science and clinical research to further the treatment and knowledge of rheumatic diseases. Our multidisciplinary programs foster collaborative research projects not only at UAB, but also throughout the world.
