UAB has a total of 12 resident physicians, and typically offers three radiation oncology positions through the NRMP MATCH each year. Radiation oncology training begins at the PGY2 level, after successful completion of an accredited internship (PGY-1).
We accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application System, ERAS, and honor the NRMP MATCH Code of Conduct throughout our interview process.
For the 2020-2021 season, UAB will be conducting virtual interviews as recommended by the AAMC and our specialty’s Association for Directors of Radiation Oncology Programs (ADROP). We encourage applicants to read about the adjusted ERAS timeline, given the COVID-19 pandemic.
