Desiree E. Morgan, M.D., professor and vice chair for faculty affairs in the Department of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), has been appointed to the American Board of Radiology’s (ABR) Board of Governors. 

Morgan, who previously served the ABR as an Abdominal Diagnostic Radiology Trustee since 2018, will now serve the board in matters of finance, strategic planning, priority setting, and oversight of American Board of Medical Specialty matters.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to serve the ABR in this new capacity, particularly because so many exciting things are happening with the Diagnostic Radiology certifying process,” Morgan shared.
