Pradeep Bhambhvani, M.D. is a graduate of the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, University of Mumbai, India. After completion of Internal Medicine residency training from Columbus Hospital, Chicago (now Presence Saint Joseph Hospital), an affiliate of Northwestern University Medical School, he served as chief medical resident and faculty in Internal Medicine. He then went on to spend six years practicing community Internal Medicine in Northwest Indiana. A combination of his clinical experience and passion for imaging led him to postgraduate training in Nuclear Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he stayed on as Assistant Professor in the Division of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at UCLA. He has been certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He joined UAB in October 2007 where he has established himself as a Clinician-Educator in the Division of Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics with expertise in radionuclide therapies, cardiac and oncologic nuclear imaging. He is member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Journal of Nuclear Cardiology and an active participant in committees and council of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
