Eric Turner, M.D.

Assistant Professor, Division of Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics

Eric Turner, M.D.,  was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama before matriculating to Vanderbilt University to earn his B.A. in neuroscience and history. He earned his M.D. from the UAB School of Medicine in 2018, and completed his radiology residency at UAB. Turner completed his dual pathway Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine pathway, and is became board certified through the American Board of Nuclear Medicine in 2023. He is also certified in abdominal radiology, completing and Abdominal Imaging fellowship in 2024.

Turner is passionate about resident education, PET imaging, and genitourinary MRI. He has a particular interest iin PSMA-PET imaging. When he is not working, he enjoys exploring the excellent cuisine of Birmingham, and spending time with his incredible wife.
