Rachel Z. Bass, M.D. received her undergraduate degree from LSU, majoring in English Literature. She subsequently attended medical school and completed her internship at LSU New Orleans. She then completed residency, where she served as chief resident 2018-2019. She completed musculoskeletal fellowship at UAB Heersink School of Medicine the following year. Carl A. Narducci, Jr., M.D. attended Samford School of Pharmacy and UAB graduate school where he received a Bachelor of Pharmacy and Masters in Molecular Biopsy. He attended UAB Heersink School of Medicine before completing his residency and Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at UAB. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Narducci joined the Department of Radiology at UAB in July 2009. | Matthew C. Larrison, M.D., completed his undergraduate training at Troy University in Troy, Alabama, followed by medical school at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology. After completing his residency, Dr. Larrison pursued a one year fellowship with Radiology Associates of Birmingham specializing in Musculoskeletal Imaging. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Larrison joined the musculoskeletal imaging section at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Larrison served as the MSK Imaging Fellowship Director from 2009 until 2013 and also served as Director of Radiology at UAB Highlands Hospital from September 2010 until June 2012. Dr. Larrison served as Chief of the Musculoskeletal Imaging Section since September 2010 until April 2015 and is currently serving on the Membership Committee of the Southern Radiological Conference. Dr. Frazier is an associate professor in the department of Radiology, where he serves as vice chair for clinical affairs and the executive medical director. Prior to completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Frazier served six years in the United States Marine Corps, where he was deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Somalia, Bosnia, and Haiti. He subsequently served an additional 24 years in the US Army Reserves and was deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at UAB. Subsequently, Dr. Frazier joined Anniston Radiology Group where he practiced general radiology . In 2010, he joined the faculty at UAB to become the primary radiologist for UAB Highlands hospital and complete a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship. Dr. Frazier has been an active member of the medical staff since his return, serving in multiple roles for the Department of Radiology and hospital. He has completed the UAB Healthcare Leadership Academy and was part of the inaugural class of the UAB Medicine Institute for Leadership. In addition to his primary and clinical responsibilities within the department, he is actively engaged with quality and patient safety, planning for future expansion of imaging services, hospital revenue cycle, and compliance.
