Build and retain a world-class team to implement, maintain, evolve and innovate imaging informatics technologies in collaboration with clinicians, researchers, biomed and HSIS.

Dr. Junck has a background in physics, mathematics, and computer science with a doctorate in Nuclear Engineering. He oversees the Imaging Informatics group which is responsible for PACS, Voice Recognition, and Information Systems. These are used throughout the Radiology Department as well as several other areas of the UAB Health System – Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Rheumatology, Endoscopy, Endocrinology, and Urology.
