J. Paul Cook, M.D., completed his undergraduate training at the Georgia Institute of Technology, majoring in nuclear and radiological engineering. He then went on to attend medical school at Vanderbilt University followed by an intern year in general surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Subsequently, he completed residency training in diagnostic radiology and fellowship training in emergency radiology at University of Alabama at Birmingham. After completing training, he joined the clinical faculty in the emergency radiology section.
