Jennifer (Jenny) Marwitz, M.A., Director of TBI Research, will join the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as an instructor, effective June 1.
Marwitz received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and her M.A. in Psychology from the University of Richmond. Her research began in the area of pediatric disability and psychological adjustment. Following completion of her degree, she served as the Project Coordinator for the Virginia Commonwealth University Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model System and currently serves as Chair for the Data Management Committee (since 2012) for the TBI Model System Centers. She also served as Research Coordinator for the NIDRR-funded RRTC on Severe TBI.
Marwitz has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles related to TBI with a focus on rehabilitation outcome, families, return to work, and emotional well-being following TBI. She also serves as Managing Editor of the journal, Brain Injury.
