Members of the UAB Department of Pathology attended a department wellness outing at Oak Mountain State Park on Saturday, May 16. Colleagues, alongside their families, enjoyed one another's company over an outdoor picnic.
Attendees brough an assortment of food and grilled burgers together. Children enjoyed a variety of activities, including games and painting, while other picnic-goers played golf and went hiking.
"It's always nice to get the group together," said Fatima Igdoura, MBA, Program Manager II, UAB Pathology Chair's Office. "There's always so much going on across the department, so it's nice to unwind and have some fun in the sun."
The event was made possible by the support from Cristina Magi-Galluzzi, M.D., Ph.D., Robert and Ruth Anderson Endowed Chair, and organizers alongside Igdoura, Stephanie Hobbs, Executive Assistant I, UAB Pathology Chair's Office, and Shuko Harada, M.D., Chair for Access and Engagement and professor in the Division of Genomic Diagnostics and Bioinformatics.
