The UAB School of Medicine will celebrate Match Day 2016 on Friday, March 18, at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, when members of the graduating class learn in which medical specialty they have “matched” and where they will carry out their residency training.The first match will be announced at 11 a.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with a short program beginning at 10:30 a.m. You can watch the ceremony live at www.uab.edu/matchday.
Match Day is coordinated by the National Resident Matching Program, which provides an impartial venue for matching residency programs with more than 41,000 applicants—including graduates from U.S. medical schools, international medical and U.S. osteopathic schools— who compete for available positions each year.
