The School of Medicine is hosting two upcoming faculty town hall meetings.
The first, planned for 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22 in the Bevill Biomedical Sciences Building Conference Room 170, will focus on the Academic Enrichment Fund and its impact for basic scientists in both joint health sciences and clinical departments. Selwyn M. Vickers, M.D., senior vice president for Medicine and dean of the School of Medicine, and Etty “Tika” Benveniste, Ph.D., senior associate dean for Research Administration and Development, will share how AEF dollars provide research infrastructure and programs, such as support for new multidisciplinary research initiatives, T32 grants, Graduate Biomedical Sciences and graduate students.
Space utilization will be the focus of the second meeting, planned for 9 a.m. Monday, March 7 in the Finley Conference Center, located inside the Kaul Genetics Building. Benveniste will give a presentation regarding space allocation activities, followed by time for questions and discussion.
All faculty are welcome to attend both meetings.
