Hepatitis B Cure: State of the Science and Future Directions with Michael Vinikoor, M.D.

The UAB Mary Heersink Institute for Global Health and the UAB Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, hosted a seminar on Thursday, Aug. 29, featuring guest speaker Michael Vinikoor, M.D., associate professor in the Department of Medicine at UAB.

Vinikoor is a faculty member in the Division of Infectious Diseases. Vinikoor, an infectious diseases specialist in HIV and viral hepatitis, conducts global health research in Africa. He also serves as a mentor and trainer in public health, clinical medicine, and clinical research.

The presentation, titled “Hepatitis B in Africa: State of the Science and Future Directions,” focused on his research and global health efforts related to infectious diseases in Africa. A recording of the seminar is available below.
