Blessing Falola, M.D., director of the UAB Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program, co-director of the First Episode Psychosis Clinic, and assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology, has been selected for the Healthcare Leadership Academy (HLA) class of 2024.

HLA is a collaboration between the Collat School of Business and the School of Medicine that offers training opportunities and essential leadership skill development for leaders in the 21st century. Its participants gain a broader understanding of their responsibilities as leaders and new perspectives on critical leadership and managerial issues.
Participants are nominated for HLA according to their potential to excel in more demanding leadership positions within the next two to four years. Falola is among 30 participants in the class of 2024. The program will begin in October 2023 and conclude in May 2024.
