Created in 2013, the Clinical Skills Scholars Program is a group of clinical faculty selected for their excellence in teaching and clinical skills, who will teach and continuously develop the clinical skills of medical students. The total 32 scholars spend dedicated time per week engaged in a variety of activities including conducting small group teaching sessions on clinical skills with the students, providing supervision and mentorship to the students over their first two years of medical training. They also participate in faculty development and training sessions designed to standardize clinical skills teaching and evaluation.
The new scholars were chosen from a competitive selection process.
