The Office for Diversity and Inclusion hosted its fourth annual Diversity Fair on Friday, Jan. 31, in the North Pavilion atrium. The Diversity Fair provides an opportunity for School of Medicine faculty, staff, residents, fellows, and students to come together and celebrate uniqueness and individuality. Hundreds of guests attended and sampled cuisines from around the world while listening to the sounds of international music. Pulling from an assortment of cultures associated with their staff and faculty, School of Medicine showcased tasty food and ethnic décor.
Each year, judges circulate the tables to evaluate each department’s display. They judge the table’s food, creativity, and presentation. First, second and third place are awarded. The winning departments receive gift cards to local restaurants.
The results of the 2020 Diversity Fair table competition are:
First place (tie)
Department of Genetics
Department of Microbiology
Second Place (tie)
Department of Pathology
Department of Pediatrics
Third Place
Department of CDIB
