More than 160 graduating students are expected to walk across the stage during the School of Medicine Commencement ceremony Sunday, May 18 in Bartow Arena, 617 13th St. South. The doors open at noon; ceremony begins at 1 p.m.
John Ruffin, Ph.D., the recently retired director of the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, will be the featured speaker.
A special military ceremony will begin for invited guests at 11:30 a.m. for students entering the Armed Forces. Three graduates are participating in the Health Profession Scholarship Program with the Navy. The ceremony will be held at Bartow Arena, inside the Green and Gold Room.
