The Office of Research is a key component in the research mission of the UAB Department of Neurosurgery and aims to facilitate exemplary research by providing the infrastructure to support to design, development, and conduct of all research activities.

The office embodies multidisciplinary research staff that serve as the central point of contact for neurosurgery faculty, residents, and staff conducting and/or providing support for research projects. The staff offers a variety of services including protocol development and preparation, continuing education, monitoring, quality assurance, as well as contract and budget negotiations. Administrative and regulatory oversight serves the investigators and research coordinators with successful adherence to institutional, federal, NIH and sponsor policies and practices.
