Bio
Matthew S. Parr, M.D., was born and raised in Freehold, New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and graduated with Highest Distinction. He then received his M.D. from Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as a junior, and was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship. While he is undecided about an area of focus within neurosurgery, he is currently interested in tumors, skull base, pediatrics and spine. He also has an academic interest in clinical outcomes research. Outside of neurosurgery, he enjoys spending time with his wife, cheering on his beloved Tar Heels, playing sports and cooking.
