The Southeast STD/HIV Prevention and Training Center is a regional collaboration of nationally respected experts experts in sexual and reproductive health.
For over three decades, the Southeast Prevention Training Center (SE PTC) has been a provider of training and technical assistance to clinicians and community professionals across the Southern United States. A collaboration between the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Heersink School of Medicine and Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem NC , the SE PTC is committed to enhancing the knowledge and capabilities of sexual and reproductive healthcare and community providers, with a particular focus on the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
We offer a diverse range of cutting-edge educational opportunities, including experiential learning and clinical simulations, designed to meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers in this field.
Our programs are tailored to physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and laboratorians, as well as providers working in family planning, adolescent health, women's health, primary care, urgent and emergency care. We welcome professionals from public health, community health, and private practice settings. The SE PTC is committed to improving health outcomes and well-being for those persons most highly impacted by STIs.
