The Cayetano Heredia–WC Gorgas Course in Tropical Dermatology is a one‑week advanced training program developed through collaboration among UAB’s Gorgas Memorial Institute, the Alexander von Humboldt Tropical Medicine Institute at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, and the University of Pennsylvania. Held at the Humboldt Institute in Lima—adjacent to Peru’s national tropical diseases referral center—the course offers participants exceptional exposure to the wide range of tropical diseases seen across the country’s diverse geographic regions.
