The UAB Division of Gerontology Geriatrics and Palliative Care is a division within the Department of Medicine. The division has three main focuses, research, education and patient care. Our research faculty are funded by NIH and other agencies. They are currently studying research topics within four main themes — Cognition, Continence, Mobility, and Palliative Care. Our education programs provide specialized training for geriatricians and palliative care physicians through our fellowship programs. Our clinical faculty offer inpatient and outpatient services in geriatric and palliative care.
