Our division meets patients’ needs by providing competent and professional care to individuals suffering from all these diseases.
We operate inpatient and consultative services at University Hospital and Birmingham VA Medical Center. Outpatient clinics are held at The Kirklin Clinic, UAB Highlands, Cooper Green and the Birmingham VA Medical Center.
Our division utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment procedures to care for patients. We employ the services of our expert physicians in the UAB Liver Center, Multidisciplinary Irritable Bowel Disease Clinic, Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Clinic, Comprehensive Transplant Institute, Multidisciplinary Liver Tumor Clinic, and The Basil I. Hirschowitz Center of Endoscopic Excellence to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal and liver-related disorders, and are proud to work with outstanding colleagues in Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary and Transplant Surgery, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Pathology.
