The UAB Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education (COERE) cultivates a community of interdisciplinary health services, outcomes and effectiveness investigators.

The COERE is organized into 3 functional units, each led by a Center Co-Director and Associate Directors; Training, Health System Investigators and Partners (HSIP) and Enrichment Programs. The leadership team spans the Schools of Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing and Public Health, and receives guidance from a Steering Committee, Internal Advisory Committee, and External Advisory Committee with broad collective expertise in the conduct of health services, outcomes, and effectiveness research spanning clinical, community, and public health settings.

The UAB COERE is part of the UAB University-Wide Interdisciplinary Research Center (UWIRC) Program.

The COERE has a large, varied membership including faculty and trainees spanning Divisions, Departments, Schools, Colleges and disease specific Centers at UAB. Facilitating networking and collaboration among members, the UAB COERE aspires to enhance the rigor of interdisciplinary outcomes research studies, accelerate the generation of knowledge, and optimize the impact of our member’s scientific discoveries on the health of the individuals, communities and populations we serve.
