Administrative Core
The Administrative Core translates the CFAR's overall mission into action by operationalizing the governance, vision, evaluation, and strategic planning.
Developmental Core
The Developmental Core cultivates early-stage and mid-to-senior career researchers new to HIV through mentorship, financial support, linkage to UAB CFAR services, and collaboration with investigators and research networks.
Clinical Core
The Clinical Core offers immediate access to comprehensive services for interdisciplinary scientists conducting clinical research at the UAB 1917 Clinic and beyond, advancing HIV prevention and treatment science to reach an end to HIV in Alabama and the Deep South.
Implementation and Community Sciences Core
The ICS Core accelerates data-driven research in implementation, community, and big data sciences. It enhances investigators' methodological skills, provides accessible resources, and fosters collaborations among academic researchers, community members, organizations, and public health agencies.
Advanced Technology
The Advanced Technology Core provides expertise in high-throughput screening, advanced flow cytometry techniques, data-sharing infrastructure, and insight into the emergence of novel technologies that will benefit CFAR scientists.
