Structures Laboratory
The Structures Laboratory is located in the Business-Engineering Complex, room 168. It is a multi-function lab of approximately 2,950 square feet that serves as both a classroom and laboratory. The undergraduate classes taught in the lab are:
- CE 221: Mechanics of Solids,
- CE 222: Civil Engineering Materials, and
- CE 230: Plane Surveying.
The Structures Laboratory is fully equipped to serve the needs of the lab instructors and their students. Among the many pieces of testing equipment are a Tinius-Olsen 600,000 lb hydraulic universal testing machine, a 500,000 lb Forney compression machine, a Tinius-Olsen torsion machine, and 60,000 lb Tinius-Olsen universal testing machine.
