Augusta S. Dowd is managing partner in the law firm of White Arnold & Dowd P.C. in Birmingham, Alabama. She has been practicing law for more than 25 years, defending clients in the areas of commercial and complex litigation, mass torts, white collar crime, and class actions. A graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and the University of the South, Dowd was recently recognized as one of Birmingham’s Top Ten Women in Business. She is also listed among the Top 10 Lawyers in Alabama by Super Lawyers 2010 and ranked as one of the Best Lawyers in America 2010. She is a member of the Board of Bar Commissioners for the Alabama State Bar and is a fellow of the American Law Foundation. She currently serves on the board of directors for the YWCA, the Women’s Fund, and the Red Mountain Theatre Company.
