Homecoming at the UAB School of Dentistry: Celebrating Blazer Spirit Together

Each fall, the UAB School of Dentistry takes part in the university’s Homecoming celebration – a week of activities that bring students, faculty, staff, and alumni together to show their Blazer spirit.

First-year dental students participate in the Blazer Build It Competition, designing a display that reflects the university-wide Homecoming theme. It’s part of a campus-wide contest involving schools across UAB, with a panel of university judges selecting the winning entries.

In addition to campus traditions, the School of Dentistry marks the week with its own activities, like the Homecoming Kick-Off breakfast. These events give students and residents a chance to come together and celebrate in ways that reflect the school’s unique rhythm and community.

The celebration culminates with the annual UAB Homecoming Parade and Blazer football game at Protective Stadium – campus-wide traditions that bring everyone on campus together for a spirited finale. For the School of Dentistry, the week is a chance to celebrate, connect, and be part of the broader UAB experience.
