The UAB School of Dentistry has received continued ADA CERP accreditation for its Continuing Dental Education program through 2030, reaffirming the school’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality professional education for dental practitioners and allied dental professionals.
The accreditation was granted following a review process evaluating the program’s educational standards, administrative processes, and commitment to continuous quality improvement.
UAB’s Continuing Dental Education program provides educational opportunities for dentists, dental hygienists, and other oral health professionals through lectures, hands-on courses, symposia, and specialized training programs designed to support lifelong learning and advances in patient care.
“This reaccreditation reflects the consistent work that goes into maintaining educational quality and delivering programming that supports the evolving needs of the profession,” said Ann Marie Karaki, director.
Continuing education programs play an important role in helping oral health professionals remain current with emerging research, clinical techniques, technologies, and standards of care throughout their careers. UAB offers programming across multiple specialties and disciplines, serving dental professionals throughout Alabama and beyond.
The reaccreditation extends the school’s accredited status for an additional four-year term through 2030.
