Scholars Symposium is an annual celebration of the school’s research accomplishments, highlighting the achievements of students, residents, and faculty as they impact oral health locally and globally. This year’s theme is Craniofacial Development and Dental Genetics.
The event provides a venue for faculty, residents, students, staff, and guests to discuss a broad range of topics associated with the methods and outcomes of oral health, dental and craniofacial research. It also fosters interactions between the School of Dentistry and other schools across campus, as well as UAB’s interdisciplinary centers.
The 15th annual symposium will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Poster presentations will begin at noon in the West Pavilion Atrium followed by a keynote by Ophir Klein, Ph.D., M.D., the Larry L. Hillblom Distinguished Professor in Craniofacial Anomalies at the University of California, San Francisco.
