(Un)Charted: Young Minds, Big Questions

A Philosophy Summer Camp

Rising 6th-12th graders are invited to join the UAB Department of Philosophy for a summer day camp. Campers will explore readings, spend time puzzling over classic philosophical questions, and learn how to develop and defend their own views as well as how to engage thoughtfully with those who disagree with them.

2027 Theme: The Good Life

Session 1: What does it mean to live a good life? What does it mean to be a good person? How in the world do we figure out what good even is?

Session 2: What does a good society look like? What does society have to do with living a good life? What does living a good life have to do with society?
