n observance of UAB designated holidays during December and January, UAB Transportation will alter several services.

Please be advised of the following changes:

Blazer Express

• No Blazer Express service, Cooper Green Shuttle, Highlands Shuttle or Motorist Assistance Roadside Service (MARS) during these dates:
  • Dec. 23, 26, 30, and Jan. 2
• Employees with express lot permits may use the 6th Avenue Parking Deck. Gates will be raised to allow access.

Safety Escort

• Safety Escort service will be provided throughout the period. However, ride requests may only be made by calling 205-934-8772 during the following periods:
  • 9 p.m. Dec. 24 through 5:30 a.m. December 27
    • TapRide may be used to request rides again when normal service resumes at 9 p.m. Dec. 27.
  • 9 p.m. Dec. 31 through 5:30 a.m. Jan. 3
    • TapRide may be used to request rides again when normal service resumes at 9 p.m. Jan. 3.
