Quick checklist for your photoshoot:

  • Schedule your appointment online on one of the calendars at the bottom of this page.
  • Meet the photographer on the 13th floor of the Administration Building in Suite 1370 at your appointment time; follow the signage to the appropriate waiting area.

Marketing & Communications offers professional headshots to campus community faculty and staff for $50 per headshot by appointment only. All appointments require a General Ledger (Oracle or Grant) departmental billing account number when booking. If you prefer to pay by personal payment, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. This price includes minor edits and delivery to you via the UAB Image Gallery. Please be aware that we will NOT send you multiple photos for pre-approval, but will pick one horizontal and one vertical photo from the shoot.

This service is for individual headshots. If you require multiple headshots, please contact us at UAB Marketing & Creative Solutions and we can schedule a separate appointment for your group.

Headshots are taken by appointment on Tuesday between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., the second Monday of each month between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and the third Friday of each month between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on the 13th floor of the Administration Building, 701 20th St. South, Suite 1370. One-hour parking is available on the 2nd floor of the Administration Building parking deck behind the building.

Please make every effort to keep your appointment and, if possible, give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. To cancel your appointment, click on the Reschedule button on the confirmation email or click Manage Booking in the calendar invite.

Day of your photo:

  • Because of time constraints, we cannot accommodate wardrobe changes. If you do require wardrobe changes for your headshot, submit a request at UAB Marketing and Creative Solutions.
  • We do not have any medical white coats on-hand to loan, so please bring your medical coat with you if you wish to have white-coat photos.

Other important info:

  • We cannot accommodate walk-in appointments.
  • If you require a redo, you will be charged a fee.
  • We require five working days to process your headshots.
  • Marketing & Communications does not photograph events such as award ceremonies, private parties, luncheons, etc.
  • Because of the potential for breaking news items, the photographer may have to cancel with little notice.

What to wear for your headshot:

  • Avoid wearing patterns.
  • Simple colors are best.
  • Avoid wearing seasonal apparel.
  • Avoid wearing clothing with logos (team logos included).
  • If you wear a white coat, make sure it is pressed, and bring it to the shoot.

Scheduling your headshot appointment:

  • Click on the Microsoft Bookings button at the bottom of this webpage.
  • Once you're on the Microsoft Bookings page choose click on Monday Headshots, Tuesday Headshots or Friday Headshots.
  • Select a date and time.
  • Complete the scheduling form.
  • Microsoft Bookings will automatically add a calendar invite to you outlook calendar.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with a link to cancel or reschedule your headshot appointment if needed.
