Adobe Express is an online application within Adobe Creative Cloud that allows users to easily design graphics and templates for flyers, posters, invitations, social media, and more. Since UAB is a Creative Cloud campus (see box below), users across the institution can now access this free, easy-to-use tool. Anyone can use Adobe Express after requesting access to the Creative Cloud. There is no need to purchase a license or pay for an account to create your projects.
Start with Adobe Creative Cloud
Adobe Creative Cloud offers a collection of robust design tools optimal for graphic design, photo and video editing, illustration, and more. These applications are free and automatically available to all active UAB students. Faculty and staff may also request a license from UAB Information Technology.
Note: Marq (formerly Lucidpress) is only available for use by UAB Medicine. Contact
Template Libraries
Marketing & Communications manages UAB brand assets and templates within Adobe Express and has created UAB-branded templates within a library called “Assets”. This library has some of our favorite campus images along with a group of common icons used on web and in social communications. To request access to this template library, fill out the template request form.
For general brand guidance, please reference the “Brand Basics” section of the Brand and Communication Toolkit.
Training
The video below walks UAB users through using templates and UAB’s branded content in Adobe Express to create projects. For additional guidance, users are encouraged to explore self-paced tutorials and articles available through the “Learn” tab [https://express.adobe.com/sp/learn] within the Adobe Express app.
Inappropriate Usage
Adobe Express cannot be used to create UAB web pages. If you need content published onto a web page, please reference our Web section to learn more about the various content management systems we offer for publishing web content.
