Join Student Affairs and Veterans Services for UAB's ninth annual Wreath Laying Ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Friday, Nov. 11, in the Hill Student Center Ballrooms from 12 to 1 p.m. 

Retired Brigadier General Richard B. Dix is the guest speaker. BG Dix, a native of Atlanta, Ga., has more than thirty years of service in the Armed Forces and has been a leader at every level. He currently serves as the CEO of Blue Collar Logistics/BC Construction and Engineering Inc.

UAB ROTC cadets will present the posting of the Colors. Nathaniel Rutledge, retired Bessemer chief of police, will perform "America the Beautiful," following a rendition of the National Anthem by Jada Cox. UAB Vice President of Student Affairs John Jones, III, Ph.D. will open the ceremony.
