Grab your reusable grocery bag and let the Blazer Express take you shopping on the Blazer Market Route! Starting Saturday, February 4, UAB Student Assistance & Support and UAB Transportation will provide a new bus route that will take students to local grocery stores. Stores included on each route include Walmart, Mi Pueblo, and Super Oriental Market.

“We are really excited to provide students access to this incredible service,” said Debbie Morgette, Assistant Director for UAB Student Assistance & Support, “We look forward to seeing a variety of students, whether they live on or off campus, have better access to healthy and affordable grocery stores.”

The Blazer Express will pick up students from the Hill Student Center, across from the Starbucks, on 14th St. and 7th Ave. The bus route will run every weekend for the remainder of the 2023 Spring semester. Climb aboard on Saturday mornings from 9 to 11:30 a.m. or Sunday afternoons from 2 to 4:30 p.m. This service is free and available to all currently enrolled UAB students who present their valid ONE Card.
