UAB Career & Professional Development (CPD) has partnered with the Iota Lambda Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for the opening of the UAB Career Closet.

UAB Career Closet is aimed at alleviating the financial burden placed on students to purchase professional clothing for job interviews, career fairs and professional events. For no charge, student will be allowed to rent professional clothing for use in their career pursuits.

Faculty, staff, students and members of the community are all welcome and encouraged to donate their gently-used business casual and business professional attire. Dress shirts, blouses, neck ties, skirts, slacks, suits, blazers, sport coats, cardigans and shoes are all encouraged.

Items that have been purchased within the last five years or are currently in fashion are preferred. Items must also be cleaned prior to donation. Donations can be dropped off at The Career and Professional Development office during normal business hours.
