Are you ready for Spooky Season at UAB?? This October, you can celebrate Halloween by attending several themed events on campus! With murder mystery dinner parties, movie nights, and pumpkin smashing, there’s an event for every Blazer!
Students searching for a Halloween experience on campus can look forward to the following events:
Halloween Movies
- Watch Halloweentown at the Halloween Movie Night on the Green on October 31 at 7 p.m. Free popcorn and drinks provided!
Pumpkin Carving/Smashing
- Carve pumpkins at the Collegiate Recovery Community at Pumpkin Carving at the CRC on October 30 at 4 p.m.
Costume Contests
- Participate in a costume contest at the Korean Undergraduate Student Association’s Halloween Costume Contest on October 27 at 5 p.m. in the Gold Hall Underground.
Sports Events
- Dress up and get free candy at the UAB Men’s Soccer vs SMU game on October 27 at 7 p.m. at PNC Field.
- Dress up in costume to support the men’s basketball team at the UAB Men’s Basketball vs Morehouse College on October 30 at 7 p.m. at Bartow Arena.
Creative Events
- Enjoy and create Halloween art at the ArtPlay Halloween Family Spooktacular on October 28 at 1 p.m. at the ArtPlay Johnson House! Family and friends are welcome.
- Play yard games and make crafts with the Public Health Student Association at the PHSA Homecoming Fall Festival on October 30 at 11 p.m. at the Ryals Public Health Building.
Trick or Treating
- Get ready to trick or treat at First Year Experience’s Campus Wide Trick or Treat on October 31 at 11 a.m. Trick or treaters will meet at the Hill Student Center first.
Miscellaneous
- Practice your Spanish by listening to an episode of Radio Ambulante at Mesa de Español: The Haunted Hotel on October 27 at 3 p.m. in the Sterne Library Plaza, hosted by Club De Español.
- Dress up and participate in coloring, a ring toss, and a guessing game at Blazers and Beholder’s Halloween Bash on October 31 from 5 p.m. at Hill Student Center, Room 314.
- Join the Wyvern Witches at their Samhain Masquerade on October 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hill Student Center.
